Camping?

Unkle Sam Wants YOU to go camping in mid September....BURRRRRRRR
We had been planning on camping for several weeks, with the Wilsons,
but as it turned out with them moving, Labor Day weekend and all other crazy occurrences,
we just now got around to camping.

As I assumed, it was COLD up there. The high in the valley was only 72,  so up Big Cottonwood
Canyon, well....you do the math!
Lucy could barely grab her carrots her hands were so cold. But thanks to Aunt Susan, her feet
stayed really warm in the Ugg boots with real lambs wool!!
Good Morning???Lucy woke up with what we are calling Elephant hands.
I was in serious fear she was going to loose her hands. They were colder then ice (is that possible?) and HUGE!! Oh, I just felt awful! It must have been an awful night! Here is Jeff with Lucy and Regan!
For breakfast we had the YUMMIEST dutch oven mountain man breakfast. But after the
catastrophe of our dutch oven chicken the night before, everyone was STARVING!
No fear, s'mores kept us full and warm.
This bottom picture was taken about 10:30!! The sun was still not up, and it was still freezing!!
Enough about the cold...we had such a fun time with the Wilsons!
They are always so fun to be with, we just need to do this when its warmer!!!

P.S. Notice Lucy's hand. It looks like Proctors hand on "Pure Luck
Maybe she is allergic to Bees!!!!?

Ha, ha freaky about Lucy's hand! Our bodies are crazy, and amazing what we withstand. Lucy in her pink glory... so so darling.

Looks pretty up there... I think camping is sometimes more fun in the cold! You are the most ambitious pregnant woman EVER... way to make memories.

Brrrr! That sounds cold - did you have any hot chocolate to warm you up?? Also, I love the Pure Luck comment - great show :)

P.S. Congrats on the new home - sounds like a dream.

Poor baby girl. She doesn't look too upset about the whole experience.
By the way... the next book is 'The Lone Survivor' by Marcus Luttrell. (I was way off on the auther- that's what you get when going off of my memory).
