A cat, a horse, and my darling children...of corse!

This is the neighbors cat. Lucy truly would follow him to the moon and back!
They are the best of friends! Lucy loves to follow him around the yard,
and if the cat would stay, she'd do it all day.
Lucy modeling her wooden rocking chair, that I found at D.I. ! I'm always looking for little
treasures like that, and the cute horse next to it!
I'll sand/strip them both, and give them a fresh new look.
Just a darling action shot!
Mind you, I don't keep her in her Pj's all day, this was at 9:30 am.
The sibling rivalry is already beginning. Anything Charlie does, Lucy wants part.
Ride 'em cowboy!!
And yes, this is the max height the swing will go.
As Charlie goes for a joy ride, we keep a close eye on them both!
The other night, Jeff said to me "I'm so glad she can entertain herself" and can ever.
She loves her babies, and is such a cute mother to them!
We took the plunge, and got a Bumbo.
We have loved it, and as Charlie works on his neck strength, we'll use it more and more!

Can hardly believe he's already 3 1/2 months!!
And last but not least, all the creative things that can be done with bananas.
She got them to stick, and thought it was hilarious!

A whole lotta notta!

If my posts don't bore you already, you are in for it!
This is the beginning of what was a yummie dinner party, complete with china and goblets.
What a tasty evening!
And here she is, the star of the hour.
Lucy has just figured out she can climb on things, and loves to bring her toys up there with her.
She has been such a busy body lately!
One of her favorites. If someone says "hi" or tries to give her something, this is what she does.
I told her to look at the camera, and smile. This is what I got.
Her second favorite thing to do.
She figured this out in the car the other day, as Charlie was crying.
Plugging her ears.
I took this picture, to remember the day I took away her binki.
I have been so worried about this day. Although she's just used her binki when she sleeps, she has  LOVES her "b".
We put it in a baggie, and then took it out to the trash.
She cried, and it was the saddest cry. It was like I had taken away her best friend.
It was such a sweet parting, it even made me cry.
I was really sad to take it away, but lately she has seemed like such a big girl, and I thought she just was using it for fun.
As it turns out, this event has been such a non event. She'll get sad,  at times, but I thought I'd have sleepless nights, and a non napping girl. Its been a breeze! I do feel bad that she doesn't have her "b", but all good things must come to an end.
Our mellow yellow baby boy~ oh, he's such a sweetie!
One other thing she figured out she could climb, the slide, and LOVES it.
And yet again, another visit to the zoo.
Charlie did fab this time!
He just slept, and was a trooper.
Lucy continued to enjoy the apes, her snacks and the other kids.
Oh how we love our zoo pass.

A PERFECT day!

Today was the type of day I could not have  dreamed up!
Life has been so crazy and difficult these last few months,
and this was the biggest breath of fresh air!!
Jeff has been working crazy hours at work, and when he's not there, he's at the new house,
and we've missed him horribly!
Well, Saturday rolled around, and we all piled in the car and headed to the zoo!!
The weather was perfect!!! And we went early enough
that we didn't have to many other people there.
(oh, how I love this little boy!!)
Did Lucy love the zoo? Well, she LOVED all the balls she saw, the birds she kept
hearing in the sky, the other little kids, and sunshine!!
Yes, she did love the zoo, and we had a great time watching her have so much fun!
Its true that a mothers joy revolves around her families joy!!
Oh, I just adore that stinker!
NOW she's at my favorite stage!!! :)
We saw some sheep, which is one of the 3 animal sounds she can make! She was not really thrilled with the sheep, rather, was more intrigued by disobeying the rules on the sign!
Jeff is darling with our kids! And oh how we cherished our time with him!!!
We've missed our daddy!!!
This actually was really neat. Lucy does know the tiger sound, and this tiger
was pacing up top his cage, which put him really close to our view!
This isn't a great shot, because he's on his way back, but it was so thrilling to have
him so close! Lucy loved watching him pace, and enjoyed making the tiger growl!
I said (more times then I can count) that this was the best day of my life,
and I'm convinced it was!

What a weekend

Not quite the adventure we were looking for, but from this picture, we wore Lucy
out running around the gym at the church. :)
It was a really cold last Friday night, and we have keys to the church, so we took some
balls over, and Lucy had a blast!
She just needed a place to run around!
and any childs dream, stairs to climb up, AND down!
This is the face I kiss goodnight.
It is SO hard to leave him, when these are the smiles he gives me.
We have our bedtime routine, and when I put him down, it breaks my heart
to leave him when he does this. And he does this every night!

He is such a happy, mellow, content baby, and has a smile for every moment in time!
We love this little boy, and can't believe how fast time has flown!

Charlie's big day

Here he is! Man of the hour.

Sorry about the funny angle.
Charlie was such a good boy, and looked darling
in the blessing outfit...that I made.
It was fun to construct this outfit, and I'm certainly glad that I started over 5 months ago.
It is silk, so I kept my fingers crossed that no human feces would find their way on it.
He fit it like a glove, and looked so handsome!

A picture of generations. Jeffs dad and grandpa.
Charlie has some big names to live up to.
It turned out to be a great day, and other then a few moments, quite stress free.
We can now officially welcome to the world, Charles Jeffrey Sanders!
