All in a days work

Cannot cannot believe all three of these are mind!!
(I mean the babies in the tub, not the plastic cups. )
Time has gone on without me, but I've LOVED the ride!
We had some CRAZY days around here!
Jeffs parents and Karlyns came to town for the wedding of Zack and Karlyn, and we played hotel for a few nights.
In those 2 days, we celebrated MY BIRTHDAY,
the wedding of Zack and Karlyn and HALLOWEEN.
(Really, that just doesn't sound crazy, but it was)
Zack is Jeffs brother, and by chance, was sent here to train in the military.
Saturday, my birthday, they were married.
After a beautiful morning run, I came home to find the dining room decorated
with balloons and streamers, and was given a beautiful version of "Happy Birthday"
by my husband and kids.
We then ran off to Alexandria to watch and be part in the wedding.
Neither one of them have family here, so it was really small,
which ,with kids, made it really nice.
For the wedding lunch, they brought out a special cake with a candle, and I was treated to
another version of Happy Birthday!
If Karlyn thinks she's off the hook to forgetting my birthday, not a chance!!!
Usually birthdays (well, for me) are a selfish day. This year, things were quite a bit different, and I welcomed the change! It was SO fun to share such a special day with Z and K.
My birthday night, Jeff and I hit one of Obamas favs.
Bens Chilli Bowl.
We felt like kids again!!
We were with the locals, (some of whom were quite crazy), out past dark, and childless!
It was glorious.
The food, well, not so legendary, but the spot is famous for surviving riots,
and with Jeff, I had a GRAND time!
Jeff is darling to me and our children!
He really made me feel not forgotten on my special day!
Thanks hun!
Halloween at our house!
After the traditional dinner of corn bread and chili, we headed off to EAT SOME CANDY!
Over my dead body would Lucy not have had a costume her first year of life, but by the 3rd, I realized anything black, orange, and that looks something like a costume, will do.
Plus, I think he looks DARLING in his peter pan pumpkin get up!
Lucy and her two chums.
She could have cared less about the candy.
(Well, until about half way, when she realized just how much had made it into her bucket.
Then we never heard the end of it)
Wagon. PERFECT for quick easy access. Highly recommended.
Charlie on the other hand wouldn't take "not right now" as an answer to not eating his candy.
As you can see, this sly dog didn't make it to far past my requests.
And while Sander were here, we made it to the Vienna Space Museum.
SUPER cool, over priced parking, but AMAZING history is held in this structure!
What a great thing for the kiddies.
They were entertained, and I even learned something.
So, back here, there are so SO so many leaves, that each neighborhood has designated
leaf removal days. A huge truck comes by and sucks them into a big tube.
Our day was coming, and since I knew there most likely won't be snow, I thought I'd make my version of a snow man. (see below)
I am bummed these didn't turn out in the pictures!
They looked awesome!!!
Thing one and thing two.
It has been SO glorious here in the fall and we're sad for the cold to set in.
