One of my loves!

She may not have much hair, BUT after lunch, man, she has everything
on her head, BUT hair!

I think I've said before that Lucy is at my favorite stage, and I take that back!
NOW she's at my favorite stage!
She is such a character, and always makes me laugh.
Here she is, doing "the linda". She hunches over, spreads her arms out to the side,
and runs. It is so funny!
She is really growing! Every single meal, I think what can I feed this child!
I feel like the mother bird from that book about the alligator that winds up in her nest.
I just cannot seem to give this child enough!

And here she is, with a cookie in her mouth, folding her arms. One of her new tricks.
She has learned so much, always tries to copy my words, or actions, and is
more fun then I thought possible!
Her latest favorite, saying "hi" to everyone!
Church yesterday was so fun, as she became the self proclaimed greeter!
Oh, how I love this girl!

The latest

Here is our big boy!!!
9 weeks. All that AND a bag of chips!
His 2 month apt. today proved that we have tall, good sized, large headed BIG babies.
He weighs just shy of 13 lbs (which is the 75th %), has grown 2 inches (also 75th%)
AND has increased his head size by 25% (which puts him in the 90th%)
We have been loving Charlie!

Tonight while Jeff was over at the new house (a usual for us these days)
I was with my two healthy, growing, happy children, thinking I do not deserve them!
Truly! I look at them and think they could have so much more.
I have to be satisfied with the fact that I can give them ALL my heart,
and love, and that will need to be good enough.
They have become my best friends, and need me as well!
Oh, how I love these two!
And heres a shout out to my hub!
Jeff is such a great father, and is so sweet to these two.
Here, he's the mediator between Lucy, who is just about to squish Charlie!
He is so sweet with them, and really can get Charlie smiling, and Lucy laughing!

Absolutely nothing!

Lucy, "helping" me shell pistachios for
a Martha Stewart recipe.
The recipe was not worthy to pass on!

So I mentioned how silly
Lucy things it is to have things on her head, and she especially thinks its fantastic when they squish her eyes!
She was making me laugh so hard!
I had to share!
And Aunt audrey told us about these great window stickers!
I'm not sure she can do it all by her self, but she loved the idea!

And here is our sweet boy.
I cannot believe he is over 8 weeks old!
He loves to smile, is usually content,
and is figuring out a good sleep schedule.
I just can't help but kiss him to death!
We love you Charlie!

The BALD and the beautiful

Who would not LOVE baby toes?
Charlie has the cutest ones. They are
very unique. His longest toe is his
middle toe! (not his big toe). It looks
so cute, and I'm sure will make him
all that much better of a soccer player!

Here is our bald and beautiful, LUCY!!
She still loves to put anything
on her body, and her head.
Here, it is many hours after dinner,
but insisted on wearing her bib.
She has been such a joy, and I am loving
 her very curious personality!
She still loves to dance. The other day,
we had made a trip to Home Depot,
and I had let her walk behind me.
I turned around to find her dancing (its more of a squat)
to the rhythm of one of the trucks backing up!

Charlie is always willing to share a smile!
His favorite person to smile at?
 None other then his dad!!!
Jeff can get him so smile,
even after I've tried!
He's a daddies boy.
He is SUCH a good baby!
He loves to be held, which with Lucy doens't  happen as much as it should, and he LOVES his baths!
We are SO luck to have such a good
baby, and would not trade him
for the world!

And last but not least, Lucy giving Charlie kisses!
She really is SO sweet with him.
Always trying to share her food or drinks or toys.
I am loving these two kids, and feel so lucky to have them!

David and Goliath

Here it is, David v.s. Goliath

Lucy, although towering over Charlie just cannot get enough of him!
She is always trying to share her food, drinks, coat, pajamas, diapers (clean or stinky)
with Charlie.
Its been heeps of fun, and we are slowly and surly getting back to
a routine, and life as it will be.
Charlie, seemingly filling out the chair quite well...
and Lucy, takin no sass from nobody!!! (she LOVEs to chillax in this chair)
Wearing her "pretties" which is a bracelet, and a hat.

One of my favorite faces, and one more reason to love love LOVE babies
and our "Sister Mary Clairance"
Who knows where she got it from, but she loves everything on her head.
And another darling thing she's picked up on is singing.
Yesterday at church, she began "singing" to the prelude music.
It sounds like a really quiet scream, but is so SO dang cute, and sure made people laugh.

Go Utes! (at least for one day!)

Its a great thing that my husband does not read this, or at least all that often,
because if he did, and found out that I even dare post the word "utes"
I may as well be sleeping on the couch!
BUT, who in their right mind could pass such a great opportunity up?
It was Friday morning and turning out to be a B-Ute-iful day!
I called my fab sister Jenny, and insisted we all meet down town for the parade, and pep-rally
honoring the all deserving Ute Football team.
In addition to always being up for a good time, I simply could not pass up a parade!
It was perfect weather, and really a one time opportunity!
I truly am a BYU fan, but heck,  it looks like it will be a while before they have an undefeated season! Oh, and if they do, we'll be on the front row for their parade also!

De'ja Vous

Really? Are you joking?
Well, I wish I was. This is NOT a picture from a few weeks ago!
This is TODAY!
Lucy has fallen, yet again, and in the SAME spot on her nose,
it is cut again. Poor thing has had a rough few days,
but is still cute as a BUGS ear!!!

Baby Sheep From Lucy's Grannie

Grannie (mom) here you go! I think (with Jeffs help) I could send more videos,
but for now, here Lucy is, not really sure how she's pulling that sheep, but she is!
Thanks!
We loved that, AND the Kiwi!

For our grannie

My dearest mother, and anyone else who looks at this...
these are the latest and greatest.
This one is my favorite.
Lucy discovered she could also fit into this chair, and when we put Charlie in,
she wouldn't let us take him out!
I think her little arm started going to sleep, so I tried to move it,
but she was insistent to keep it there, around Charlie!
She has been SO sweet with him and we are just adoring them BOTH!!!

This is the hospital hat that Lucy had, but that Charlie now uses.
She loves to tote it around the house, and if her head were anymore above
the 95% for circumference, this would not fit.
(Funny side note...as Charlie was in for his 2 week check, the doc. looked at his
head measurements and asked if big heads ran in the family? I just chuckled!
Jeffs "big head" seems to be filled with knowledge, and mine, so far, well, who knows!)
Have I said Lucy LOVES bananas?
That really was her first word, "nana"!
(notice her toes in the picture. you can tell she is really trying!)
This is her latest favorite book. She truly can look at books all day, and I think
is getting the concept of reading, as she often makes sounds when she flips through them.
She has been such a great girl this last week.
It really took some adjusting those first few weeks, but we are slowly getting the hang of things.
AND truly loving our new little family!!!
